Steve Naraine Sends New Year Greetings

January 2007 - Dear beloved ones of our extended family,

We live in special time. 2006 brought a variety of experiences that added to the richness of our lives. On reflecting on these experiences, there are many that we give gratitude and thanks for, starting with our continued health and wellbeing. We have said goodbye to near and dear ones and sent them on to the next phase of their life’s journey, and we have welcomed new souls to the family who have brought with them joy and happiness, creating bonds of eternal love.

On March 4, 2006 we were blessed with our first great grandchild, Neela, the daughter of Sanjay and Jocelyne. She came into our lives on a very auspicious day, the day of her great grand-father’s birthday, and so she is a very special gift. She radiates contentment through her beauty and especially through the illuminated brilliance of her eyes.

We have now entered the New Year 2007, and we are at the time of “Epiphany.” Epiphany, January 6th, is also referred to as twelfth night, and is considered a time for the appearance or manifestation of something divine that gives insight into essential meaning. It is with this spirit of inner realization of the self and deeper connection to God that we greet you for the New Year and celebrate newness with you. Below are words of wisdom and spiritual treasures which we have received from the Brahma Kumaris in Mt. Abu and which we would like to offer to you as imperishable gifts that take us into essential meaning.

“This is the year of good wishes, pure feelings, love, and cooperation. Become a compassionate soul and with a heart filled with pure feelings, cooperate with everyone. Give the gifts of love and cooperation from the heart and liberate others from the bondages of anger and bitterness. With your pure and elevated thoughts and feelings lift others up! Strengthen your step of courage and use the key of determination. Bring newness in the New Year and use love and cooperation for the self and world. Let there be success through this method.”

A very, very happy, healthy, and holy 2007 to everyone with our heartfelt love and remembrances.

Steve and Betty Naraine, children, grandchildren, and great grand-daughter.
